ENTARTETE MUSIK

Concert series Entartete Musik (Suppressed Music) in Bergen, Norway. In collaboration with Bergen Chamber Music Society (Bergens kammermusikkforening) and KODE/Edvard Grieg Museum Troldhaugen (concert 2).

All concerts curated by Øyvind Aase.

Nazism had a devastating impact on musical development in the 20^th century. This concert series aimed to present some of the victims of Hitler's cultural politics. Works by Ernest Bloch, Hans Gál, Paul Hindemith, Erich Wolfgang Korngold, Hans Krasa, Erwin Schulhoff and Viktor Ullmann.
